In remembrance....

I just wanted to acknowledge the tragedy that has come upon Connecticut. For three years I called Connecticut my home so I feel a connection to it but beyond that people need to know and remember those who have fallen. Below are the names of those who have been lost. Please say a pray for them and their family and loved ones.

A blog is worth a thousand words

Since I don't have a thousand words to share I will tell you about my Saturday.  My mom flew in Thursday and will be here to spend Thanksgiving with my family. Yay! But since I did say that I would tell you about my Saturday, I digress. Saturday morning rolls around and the alarm clock sings! It's time to wake up and start the day. I get up and shower. So I am so fresh and so clean clean for my big day. I get ready and eat breakfast but not too much food because I have to save room for POPCORN and I am going to the movies! Woot woot! Ryan and I head on over to West Jordan to pick up my mom! What movie are we going to see, you ask? Well of course the new Twilight movie Breaking Dawn pt 1!!! and you may also be scratching your head at what time IS this movie since you got up and basically went straight to the movies? It was at 10:30 am but it could have been worse we could have seen the 9:00 am show. haha!  Can you tell I am a bit of a fan! :)

Then after the movie, which was indeed the best of the twilights. We got a carmeled apple and shared. Next Deseret and as my mom and my aunt would say we "geeked" around there. Where my mom got me a block that says " Dare to dream of a greater thing than you can imagine" Which is totally my new moto. So I pass this pearl of wisdom on to you. Dream big people what can you lose. Nothing! You can only go up and improve!

Next we went to Lane Bryant were I was spoiled. Then we had lunch at one of my all time favorite places, Joe's Crab Shack. Yummy yum!
Then we all went back to Ryan's and mine apartment and I showed off my talents of my door hanging , my head bands etc. And we watched one of the best shows ever; Murder She Wrote. Till the end of the night, when sadly we returned my mom to West Jordan. I hope you enjoyed my big day as much as I did. Until next time...

Publishing

So I have written a children's book. I am very excited about it. I really like the story and hope others will too. My conundrum is how to publish it. Do I self publish and have a guarantee that it will be put out for the world to see OR do I go the old fashion route and submit my book to ridicule until someone else deems it worthy for publication? What to do? Any hints?

Inspiration

So I was thinking today. Self? What inspires you? Or motivates you?... the answer you ask? Is not a whole freaking lot. There are glimmering moments when I make amends and set forth a new goal to do better. But just like most of the other times, I fall short. Is that sad? What inspires you  to continue on if the face of doubt?

My new addiction

So I netflixed Burlesgue and LOVE IT!!!  I watched it twice and bought the album and can't get enough of it. It might be a little raunchy for some. But I would highly recommend it!

Lately

Well let's see. Recently I have been crazy into knitting and making headbands for a lady that I work with. Here is a picture of the first one I did. What do you think?
I thought it was a good try for my first time following this pattern.

I am still having fun with the car that Ryan and I got to replace our once stolen car. We've had it back for less than a month and we are so grateful. We truly are very blessed.

I have also been working on organizing my apartment and making things more homey feeling. I finally put up curtain and my cat got his claw stuck and made a big hole in it. Bah! Such is life. It's kind of funny.

Oh I signed up for a 5k in June. It's called the Dirty Dash and it involves mud and a slip and slide. Haha!! How great! It is meant to be a 5k for people to enjoy, so people get dressed up in all kinds of outfits and they even have run for the kids called the piglet plunge. How cute. I am excited!!!!

Run out?

I realize that Penelope Garcia isn't real but I wonder if she would ever run out of work as I have right this very day and thus I have time to blog which I need to do more of. Sorry followers, not very exciting for you! Although the thought just occurred to me that Penelope Garcia would have to run out of things to do because she is SO amazing. Haha So that is what I am going with. And I must too be speedy, efficient and wonderful so that is why I have run out of things to do. We'll see what tomorrow will bring. I might be back blogging before you have had time to read this one. So any ideas on what you would like to hear?
